Tony Parmenter is a veteran game developer with over ten years of professional industry experience.
As a Lead Artist at Krome Studios, he managed and lead a team of up to 40 people in the production of characters, environments, props, and concept art for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on Wii, PS2, and PSP, which to date has sold in excess of 4.5 million units worldwide on these platforms. He was also Lead Artist for Krome Studios’ 2010 release, Blade Kitten, on XBLA, PSN, and PC downloadable. Tony was a key contributor to Krome’s flagship IP, the TY the Tasmanian Tiger series, being the Lead Environment Artist for TY the Tasmanian Tiger 3: Night of the Quinkan. To date, this series has sold over 2.5 million units worldwide on PS2, Xbox and Gamecube.
During his time at Krome, he also represented the company at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2005 in Los Angeles, was a speaker at Game Connect Asia Pacific (GCAP) 2006 in Brisbane, and attended key project presentation meetings at LucasArts HQ in San Francisco.
Most recently, Tony was a Level Designer for Krome’s new 2D sidescroller TY the Tasmanian Tiger (2013), released on Windows 8 PC and Tablet, and was primarily responsible for environmental construction and aesthetics. This title rose to #2 in the Windows 8 App Store.
Tony also has a background in sea turtle research, and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Queensland, majoring in Zoology. He lives in Brisbane with his son, Patrick, and aims to one day hike across Iceland.
